Annual Player Placement Tryouts
Players are expected to pre-register for Annual Player Placement Tryouts via their online soccer account. Please contact the Augusta United office for registration assistance.
Augusta United Soccer Club’s annual Player Placement Tryouts are conducted each spring (April and May) for the following fall and spring Travel and Challenge teams.
Augusta United SC’s Annual Player Placement Tryouts are open to any interested player of the appropriate age and gender. Positions on all teams are open each year and new candidates are invited to tryout to earn a spot on teams. Returning players are encouraged to attend Player Placement Tryouts as well, especially if seeking to advance levels of programming within the club. Performance, attendance and attitude from previous soccer seasons will be considered in player team assignments. When possible, different select programs within the same age group will tryout at the same time and facility to help facilitate the team placement process (Example: U12 Boys Travel & U12 Boys Challenge will tryout simultaneously).
As a sister club with the Skyline Elite Soccer Club, motivated and talented travel players are also offered the opportunity to attend tryouts for teams at this elevated level of play. Participation with these teams includes greater time commitment as well as expenses, all players should consider these factors before deciding to tryout. Skyline Elite teams are formed at U13 through U19 boys and girls, online registration for these tryouts is done separately through family accounts.
Skyline Elite tryouts are held at different times and locations from Augusta United tryouts and players are considered for these teams in lieu of placement with Augusta United Premier travel teams. Players interested in placement with either program should attend both tryouts for their age group (Skyline Elite and Augusta United). The Augusta United and Skyline Elite coaching staffs will work in conjunction whenever possible for player placements for players from the Augusta area. All players are strongly encouraged to attend both Player Placement Tryouts! To be considered for a team a candidate must attend at least one Player Placement Tryout.

Registration will open on your account by March 14, 2026!
All players should pre-register online for Annual Player Placement Tryouts via their family soccer account. On-site registrations will be accepted for new arrivals only if necessary.
Please pre-register for the highest level of program you are interested in participating with (not both tryout levels). Players will be considered for all programs below the registered tryout program, but will not be considered for those above. The order of select programs is as follows: (from highest to lowest) Augusta United Travel (Premier), Augusta United Challenge.

Player Placement Tryout ANNOUNCEMENTS
Selections/Announcements will be posted no later than June 3, 2026!
Annual Player Placement Tryouts selections/announcements will be posted via your family’s Augusta United account. Player Placement Tryouts results will not be emailed directly to each family. Email notifications will prompt you to review your selection and placement in your personal account on the Augusta United website. Within your personal account’s home page, selection will be shown by a specific team placement listed next to the player’s name at the top of the “Available Programs” list or the delineation “Not Selected” will appear. Your soccer account can only be viewed by utilizing your private username and password.
If selected for a program you must register for that program in order to accept your position. Please submit payment through your online account to ensure your position on the team. Players seeking financial assistance need to contact the Augusta United office, establish a plan and make an initial payment by the registration deadline to be considered registered in good standing for the fall season.
Those players that do not register for their selected team by the registration deadline are in danger of forfeiting their position on the team. Replacement or alternate selections may be contacted to fill your position at that time.

TEAM FORMATION
It is the intent of Augusta United to form one Premier travel team in each of the eligible age groups (U11-U19) for boys and girls. The Challenge program seeks to form teams in the U10, U12, and U15 age groups for boys and girls. The number of these teams will be determined by the number of qualified candidates. Players who are not selected are encouraged to continue participating in the Recreational program.
***Note – Most teams will have coaches assigned at the time of tryouts. Some teams will not have coaches at that time. Coaches will be assigned later in the spring/summer. In limited cases teams will be announced without a coach at the conclusion of tryouts and Augusta United will utilize the summer to find the most qualified and suitable coach prior to the start of the season in August.

In case of inclement weather please check the Augusta United website for cancellation and reschedule information.
Player Placement Tryouts will be rescheduled on a case by case basis to available dates and the new schedule will be posted online. Make-up tryouts are only done on a program-wide basis and individual tryouts will not be arranged.
